Paying It Forward

Charles Thorne's students in Martin County have tackled a number of community and public service projects over the years,
including the following.
- Set up a computer lab at the Robersonville Cultural Arts Center and created a wireless bridge to allow them to have access to the Internet using the wireless already in place at the nearby elementary school.
- Set up a computer lab at the Who Will So Ever Church in Edenton.
- Set up a computer lab at the Senior center here in Williamston
- Set up a computer lab for public access in Oak City.
- Set up a computer lab and wireless in the Memorial Baptist Church in Williamston.
- Set up a computer lab and classrooms in the New Wynn Chapel Church as well as create a wireless bridge from the cultural center of the church to the administration offices.
- Wired up Martin County Special Services Administration offices located at Williamston Middle School.
- Set up a computer lab for the QTL Center in Raleigh.
- Set up the computer lab for QTL in the Telecenter.
- Wired and set up a lab at Jamesville High School.
- Wired and set up a lab at Beargrass High School.
- Set up wireless connections to the mobile units, gym and special ed buildings at Beargrass High School.
- Built and set up Ubuntu server here at the Northeast North Carolina Telecenter to host our Moodle site as well as the NC SkillsUSA Moodle testing site.
- Wired up the Mass Pharmacy here at the Telecenter location.
- Additional work at the Telecenter.
