Microsoft IT Academy Workshops
Our popular series of workshops for teachers of Microsoft IT Academy continues in 2012. These sessions, led by experienced MSITA teachers, focus on organizating and using the many available resources and developing strategies for teaching the content so that students truly understand it.
Note: Our Fall 2011 MSITA series sold out, so early registration is encouraged. As new dates and locations are confirmed and posted here, we will announce them via our Twitter account and our Facebook page. Follow us in one of those areas for fastest notification, or check back here frequently. Administrators: For more information or to schedule local/district sessions for twelve or more teachers, email Robin Fred.
Getting Started Teaching Microsoft IT Academy
Day One of this workshop focuses on where to find the most important resources, how to set up students and organize the classroom. Software discussion focuses on Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Publisher. Day Two is focused on activities and strategies to prepare students for certification, with brief discussion of Microsoft Excel and Access resources.
GETTING STARTED WITH MSITA
Next Sessions Coming Summer 2012
Taking MSITA to the Next Level
These two-day workshops are designed for MSITA teachers who already know where to access the various resources, and are ready to take the next step toward building a strong program. Sessions focus on specific software skills and teaching strategies to prepare students for certification. Modeled activities covering tested software skills will prepare teachers to take the exam themselves on the afternoon of Day Two. Participants will leave with an organized set of resources for the course and a strategy for success.
